sike, just andrew (4th of july sangriaganza at johnny mangos!) i've only seen him once in the past month so i'm beginning to think that he doesn't exist.

i need to be surgically detached from the anthropologie catalog and anything promising 40% off of sweetpea, rebecca beeson, and fourtys. 

key west:

i promise that just as soon as i get my new camera (i accidentally dropped the last one, probably while trying to juggle the camera, my purse, a boy, and two frozen grain-o-rades) i will post some pictures of my week in the keys/miami.

well, so what if i do like the song "come back" off of pearl jam's new self titled album?  the epic guitar at minute 3:42 is enough to melt my heart.  more melancholy than eddie's voice is the simple arpeggio woven throughout the song-four notes vastly more expressive than the lyrics. 

after i finish reading all of my currently half unread novels, i plan to feast on the 512 pages of emile zola's germinal and after that, steinbeck's pastures of heaven.

urban development process/market analysis (OH GREAT, ANOTHER ECON COURSE that requires me to stretch my brain as thin as possible thinking about delivery gradients and bid-rent curves)

systems and processes of policy development (cross list that shit with public administration a.k.a. terifically boring cockamamey about ben franklin and some french guy that thought americans were good at forming organizations)

also, i'm applying for a job at City Year and for the Ph.D. in Urban Studies and Public Affairs program at CSU for Fall 2007 (christ i might as well it's only 2-3 years more or something)

hm, i dunno if i'm gonna keep this thing up anymore (not like i have been doing a great job of updating as of late), but there are a few things i CAN say for certainty:

1.) i'm going to have a delicious time in key west next month

2.) so i might not have a gallbladder soon (OKAY, OKAY, that's not certainty, but i have to maintain some level of intrigue)

3.) jon and jamie's wedding was fun- on medicine that makes you drowssssyyyyyyyy when you drink (i promise i will be updating with pictures AS SOON as i get my camera back from andrew).  i also paid WAY too much on the dollar dance with jon and the fact that andrew caught the garter was amusing (but not the part where HE FUCKING SNIFFED IT LIKE A PERV)

4.) speaking of andrew, he's awesome. we're splendid and in love, don't be jel.

5.) definitely going to pitchfork music fest and i may OR MAY NOT want to see the mountain goats.  unless they play the song about the seal killing you if he had half a chance and a firearm's license

6.) the guillemots aren't as bad as pitchfork thinks although they do lose points for being "contemporary grind" worthy.

7.) i'm hella pissed that the writing/producing team for gilmore girls ARE NOT SIGNED ON FOR THE 7TH SEASON.

8).  FOR THE LAST TIME, YOU BEER SWILLING BROADS (of an unnamed ashland newspaper), MY NAME IS LINDSEY.  ha just kidding, but for real though.

9.) leggings are okay, but to be used sparingly

10.) apple scruffs, apple scruuuuuuuuffs, how i love you, HOW I LOOOOOOOOOOVE YOUUUUUUUUUUUU (next time you see me, ask me to sing my rendition of george harrison's "apple scruffs")

i wonder if the fact that starbucks has devendra's "heard somebody say" on their regular "contemporary grind" menu (I know, what in god's name is "contemporary grind"? it includes the band of horses, the black eyed peas, radiohead, death cab, etc. and a smattering of whatever starbucks thinks is quasi-underground) is a passive declaration of the company's political stance on the war...i mean because you can't really understand his quivering ambiguous ethnic voice (is he hispanic or just weird?)

because andrew "studly" waldman is the hothothotttesssst bf ever he bought me "freaks and geeks" on dvd which i am so looking forward to spending many slovenly days in my pajamas watching.

i ate fried pickles the other day.

now that i sort of have life (a.k.a. SCHOOL), i'm finally going to start white teeth.  this should please andrew and he should likewise read me talk pretty one day.  it's only right since we just saw david sedaris live. 

fried pickles are really not half bad, by the way.  my buddy ian from starbucks told me about this place called "the town fryer" on superior-they literally fry EVERYTHING.  i'm gonna have to get over there one of these days since i am now a fried food afficionado (i think you offically become one after you have eaten fried pickles- it's only right). 

i'm gonna be hungover for easter.

                                   i will be home in 4 days.  order up the crab pretzel at riordan's and i'll meet you there. ooh ooh or the turkey burger at ram's head and some fordham's light.  annnnd definitely a painkiller VI like whoa at pusser's.  so basically we are going everywhere on saturday night, plus the sly fox if the outside is open.  definitely.
